In any case, better to start as a dropshipping based and then keep on adding inventory as you go forward and understand the demands of your set of customers.

You can take a 14 day free trial for shopify just to test the water. The thing with dropshipping is – because of virtually no barrier to entry, anybody can start this but then later on they get demotivated..So, make sure you are motivated enough to see it through. Some online communities are comprised up entirely of owners with 6 and 7 figure businesses.
    BUT, it takes work..

Thanks for your suggestions Maya, I will check that for sure. Is there any alternative to Shopify though?? The 14 day trial doesn’t seem to do the trick for me

Basically, Shopify is everything served to you in a plate with a white glove while WooCommerce demands a bit of tweaking and coding to make it suit your needs. But, if you want something no risk, to try, WooCommerce could be it for you, it also has a pretty supportive community

Step 1: Choose a name and get your domain

Step 2: Pick your ecommerce platform

Step 3: Plan and build your ecommerce website

Step 4: Set up payment, tax, shipping, and marketing tools

Step 5: Test and launch your ecommerce website
