    Hi @Apurva

I would suggest you can search for investors on online fundraising platforms. These online platforms have become very popular in recent times, with modern and accredited investors, angels, and even banks and funds looking for deploying capital.

You can search across platforms like AngelList, SeedInvest, StartEngine, and Wefunder for equity crowdfunding. For donations, you can try Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

Thank you for sharing this @Bhavna . I am already on an online fundraising platform, but what to do next, like how should I approach an investor?

@Apurva The best way to reach out to an investor for a meeting, is by sending an email request, as it is quick and easy to forward around an investor firm or angel network. Your email should include an articulate elevator pitch telling the investor who you are, what your do, and why should he meet you.

Well! According to me, success in fundraising is all about getting visibility and getting noticed by the right investors. If you are an early stage company, you can attend regular events like WebSummit, TechCrunch Disrupt, SXSW etc. to achieve this.

Exactly @Abhishek ! Success in fundraising is all about getting visibility and getting noticed. Social media is the easiest way of achieving this. Let me tell you how:

      1) LinkedIn for cold messages or to seek quality introductions.

      2) Facebook for meaningful relationships after you have meet with an investor. It is crucial to build the relationship to generate trust.

      3) Twitter for thoughtful conversations and engagement with relevant information shared by the investors.

So these were some of the ways you can use to raise funds through social media.

Blogging is one of the most effective but underrated methods of fundraising. You can efficiently use blogging for attracting inbound attention, telling your story, progressing potential investors wanting to invest in you, and remaining visible through each series of fundraising. Some of the active investors which I have come across include Fred Wilson, Mark Suster, Hunter Walk, and Bred Feld.

Hi @Apurva You can try cold emails, these have proven to be able to get the attention of notable angel investors and VCs. They’ve even be responsible for the launch of some very important and notable startups. You can use these message templates for your e-mail: http://www.forbes.com/sites/alejandrocremades/2018/08/26/these-3-email-templates-have-helped-entrepreneurs-raise-millions/?sh=75065b4c592f

    Hi @Apurva !

You can always search for investors among your friends and family or your professional network. These are also known as Angel Investors, high net-worth individuals, who can invest in your idea by also maintaining a predetermined relationship rather than looking for an unknown perso to investin your startup
