  • How do I promote my personal brand?

Posted by Isha Jain on March 15, 2021 at 11:33 am

    Hi guys!

I am struggling with promoting my personal brand. I have built it an year ago, but now it seems to be frozen(no engagements, no new followers, no leads). Anyone who can suggest some strategies or advice to gear up my brand?

    Hi @Isha ,

Well! It might be possible that the content you are sharing is outdated or your competitors have introduced something more engaging than what you do. What you can do is, you can try conducting social media polls, the polls will be in the context of collecting feedback from your audience about your brand. This will allow you to know why your audience is not engaging with your brand. Further more, you can use these feedbacks t improve your personal branding game and get back your frozen audiences.

    Hey @Isha !

For any personal brand, being visible and being active is crucial. If you don’t interact with your audience or are not visible to them, they might soon forget you because it is a very competitive market and has several other options.

One thing which I did, and you can do as well, is to develop a concise elevator pitch that answers. Who you are? What you do? and How do you do it? The second thing you can do is plan a strategy to show up in places where your target audience is present. Try interacting with them and sharing your brand ideas with them. I hope this helps!

      Agree with you, brother! @Aryan

If you want to get attention, you have got to get out there regularly. If you get in front of people a lot of times and are reliably informative each time, you will be considered reliable. You can start with giving insights on Twitter, guest lecturing college classes, speaking at conferences etc.

I always believe in following a successful example. Like Tony Robins: Start typing the name Tony in your search engine. You will notice several contents on the first couple of pages that belong to him, from the website to the LinkedIn page, Instagram, news and many more content pieces.

So, Why am I telling you this?

Tony Robbins has created a digital footprint all across the web. He has developed his online presence about himself and what he does, letting people know him well and entrust him.

Making yourself readily available to get to know is an essential building block for building a robust personal brand.

      Very well said @abhishek!

Like Tony Robins there are several other good examples such as Amy Cuddy, Michelle Obama, Simon Sinek, and Richard Branson. The online presence they maintain plays a crucial part in building their personal brands.

    Hi @isha

You can try networking with your industry people, its an effective way to promote your brand. But, networking is not all about marketing yourself, it’s also about giving others the opportunity to market themselves to you. Networking is a two-way street. Make sure that your networking is beneficial to both the sides.
