Should Companies Allow WFH Permanently?
Posted by Vihaan Sharma on July 8, 2021 at 7:09 amThe second wave of the pandemic had just declined and there are talks about reopening office spaces. What are your views on it? Should WFH be allowed permanently? As many big companies have also adapted to this.

I think they should. Work from home has proved to be effective for many companies in terms of productivity as well as cost cutting. The cost incurred on administration of employees has also reduced.
Big companies like Facebook and Netflix have moved towards remote working because they find it advantageous. I don’t know why Indians feel like going to Manali and opening offices whenever there is a decline in covid surge. I mean…look back when you thought CVOID-19 ended and we went back to normal, things got worse!

@vihaan I think WFH should not be implemented permanently. A larger workforce thinks working in offices were better, due to certain factors such as work environment, fast paced tasks, working as a team, closely monitoring the situation. At home, working becomes odd due to disturbances and everything. Companies should first analyze the situation and act accordingly.

As freelancing is rapidly growing all across India, I think WFH can be established permanently. More than 30% of the workforce has already shifted to freelancing while 20% are planning for it. Since, Freelancers are increasing, office spaces can remain shut down for a longer time and work can be continued remotely.

Work from home has been really good for working mom’s like me. We are more comfortable working at home, while taking care of kids and family.
I personally think WFH should be continued!💪
